Özet
Objective: Evaluation of Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) disease activity is very important in treatment decision-making and monitoring of disease activity. Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease Activity Index (RADAI) seems to be an engaging form for particularly a very busy outpatient clinics that does not need to used additional tools such as a calculator or a computer, moreover assesses present and the past to disease activity and morning stiffness. The purpose of this study was to evaluate of rheumatoid arthritis disease activity with RADAI and detect to correlation with other disease activity index such as Disease Activity Score-28 (DAS28), Clinical Disease Activity Index (CDAI) And Simplified Disease Activity Index (SDAI). Material and Methods: A total of 97 patients with RA were included in the study and their demographic characteristics were obtained. All patients filled out RADAI and also CDAI, SDAI and DAS28 was calculated. Results: The mean age of the patients were 53.86±11.03 (25-75) years. Disease duration was 15.7±14.8 (0.5-42) years. Mean scores of RADAI, CDAI, SDAI and DAS28 were respectively 2.4±1.9 (0-7.42), 9.6±7.1 (0-33), 10.2±7.3 (0,3-33,30) and 2.8±0.9 (0.68-4.69). According to RADAI 65 (67,1%) had low disease activity, 28 (28,8%) patients had moderate disease and 4 (4.1%) patients had high disease activity. The most correlate index with RADAI was CDAI (p<0.05, r=0.791) and SDAI (p<0.05, r=0.769). Good correlation were also detected between RADAI and DAS28 (p<0.05, r=0.645). Conclusion: RADAI scores provide quantitative information which are similar and comparable with CDAI, SDAI and DAS28. We suggest that usage of RADAI, comprehensive evaluation questionnaire, may be useful for measurement of rheumatoid arthritis disease activity and monitoring of patients at busy working clinics.
