Özet
The purpose of this study is to analyse the preceptions of prospective primary school teachers regarding talented individuals and concepts of special education, by way of metaphors. The study was conducted during the 2015-2016 academic year in a state university located in the Marmara region. Participants consisted of 102 prospective teachers studying at 3rd and 4th grade of the department of primary school teacher. Qualitative Research Method and Phenomenological Method were used. As a result of the analysis of the obtained data, it was determined that the teacher candidates formed a total of 86 meaningful metaphors related to the concept of gifted individuals and these metaphors were collected under 8 categories.
