Özet
A pot experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of three different cutting dates and cutting heights on the hay yield and root growth of bulbous barley (Hordeum bulbosum). The experiment was arranged in a split plot design with three replications. The main plots were the cutting dates and the subplots were the cutting heights. Results showed that the highest tiller number, green and hay yield and root weight were obtained from the harvest when the plants reached a height of 45 cm. However, harvesting done when the plant reached 30 cm was not statistically different than previous cutting times. The tiller number, green and hay yield and root weight were not significantly affected by the different cutting heights.
