| Özet |
| The total area of Turkey's grassland differs according to various references. The objective of this study was to determine range condition class of those areas based on qualitative and quantitative characteristics and then to determine proper rehabilitation and management practices for each range condition classes. The database created through this project can be updated as necessary, which allows grasslands to be monitored accordingly and so urgent measures can be implemented when necessary. In this project, grassland areas are classified based on Relatively Homogenous Areas (RHA) theory which is defined by similarity of climate, landform, soil, and other relevant variables, Climatic, topographic data and soil maps are overlaid using Geographic Information Systems(GIS) to obtain RHA, then vegetation sampling was performed on 3444 points distributed over RHA's.
