Özet
This study was carried out to investigate the effects of body condition score of Tuj ewes at lambing and some factors on the growth and livability of the lambs raised under semi intensive conditions. The animal materials comprised of 2-5 years old 102 Tuj ewes and their 156 lambs were used. The body condition score of the ewes was taken just before lambing and allocated into three body condition score groups as ≤2, 2.5-3.5, and ≥4. The values of the lambs were determined at birth, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 and 180 days live weight, live weight gain and liveabiltiy. The differences in the groups of the birth and 30 day live weight according to body condition score at lambing were significant (P<0.05, P<0.01). The live weights of the ewes with body condition score of ≥4 were better than ≤2 ve 2.5-3.5.
