Özet
When this closely connected structure which contains family is considered, family, school and social environment affect educational life of a child collectively. However today families send their children to study centers in order to support their training and make up for their deficiencies when they need tutoring. Besides social functions of study centers, what contributions they can make to students is another crucial question. In order to reply this question, it is necessary to define the available situation. This study aims at defining the evolution of study centers which are fast spreading supportive institutions and their educational function. Findings related to the effective factors which cause students to attend study centers, from which aspects study centers can influence families and students, the general profiles of students who go on study centers were obtained at the end of this research.
