Özet
Twelve Holstein 13 Jersey cows were employed to determine the levels of Zn, Ca, K, Mg and Cu in blood plasma of conceived and non-conceived animals. Blood plasma Zn concentrations were 32.56±1.94 and 26.57±0.54 µmol/l in conceived and non-conceived Jersey cows, respectively. In Holstein cows, the corresponding values were 31.82±1.77 and 27.19 µmol/l. These results show that plasma Zn levels are higher in conceived than in non-conceived animals. It was noted that plasma K:Zn and Cu:Zn ratios differed significantly (P<0.01) in both breeds between conceived and non-conceived cows.
