| Özet |
| Citizenship is a fundamental process that enables individuals to integrate into social life, become aware of their rights and responsibilities, and develop a commitment to democratic values. Supporting this process is one of the key objectives of education system. Through education, it is aimed to foster individuals’ sense of belonging to society, to develop their awareness of active citizenship, and promote the internalization of democratic culture. This objective is systematically pursued through various courses and curricula. Social studies, human rights, citizenship and democracy, and history of the Turkish revolution and Kemalism are among the courses taught in Türkiye to foster individuals as good and active citizens.
