| While the need for agricultural products is increasing due to the increase in the world's population, factors such as loss of agricultural land, climate change, and decline in soil quality are expressed as threats that may cause a decrease in agricultural production. This situation increases the importance of “agricultural sustainability” for experts and managers. Factors affecting agricultural sustainability are discussed under three main headings in the literature: social, economic, and environmental. This study aims to rank 30 OECD member countries according to the ecological criteria of agricultural sustainability. The countries' ranking criteria were determined as total agricultural land area, energy use, ammonia emission, pesticide use, and greenhouse gas emission. For the ranking of countries, criterion weights were calculated with the Swara method, one of the subjective criterion weight calculation methods, and the countries were ranked according to agricultural sustainability with the CoCoSo method, which has been widely applied in the literature in recent years. As a result of the calculation of the importance weight of the criteria, the criterion with the highest importance weight, which has the highest impact on the ranking, was determined as the total agricultural land area. The criterion with the lowest importance level was defined as the “Energy Use” criterion. As a result of the ranking, Switzerland ranked first among the 30 OECD member countries, while the USA ranked last according to the environmental criteria of agricultural sustainability.
