| Özet |
| It is normal and expected that the idea of cooperatives in Turkey should have its own definition. This would be a useful point of departure for the restructuring of Turkish cooperative thinking, which is caught between the traditional and historical fabric of the Ahilik culture and imece consciousness and the practices and values of modern cooperatives. This study aims to argue for the necessity of restructuring cooperatives in Turkey based on various economic and social approaches, and to critically examine the Turkish approaches to cooperative thinking that underpin this restructuring. In addition, the study aims to compare the ideas and practices of cooperatives in Turkey with those in other countries and regions and to propose a new model for modern Turkish cooperatives. With this aim in mind, the study is based on a review of domestic and foreign literature on cooperatives. The study concludes that Turkish cooperatives have their own unique way of thinking and that this has both positive and negative implications for the development of cooperatives in Turkey. |
