The Mediating Role of Social Capital in the Effect of Distributive Justice on Organizational Trust

Özet
The present study mainly aims to determine the mediating role of social capital in the effect of distributive justice on organizational trust. In this respect, a quantitative research design was adopted in the study and the businesses operating in Yozgat province constituted the sample. A total of 406 individuals participated in the research, which utilized from convenience sampling method. The data were collected online and analysed through the Smart-PLS software, and a structural equation model was formed by using the partial least squares method. The results indicate that social capital has a mediating role in the effect of distributive justice on organizational trust. Distributive justice also has a significant impact on social capital, whereas social capital affects organizational trust significantly. The results suggest that a fair organizational environment increases trust, which is mediated by social capital.
