Özet
Objective This study aims to evaluate the psychosocial problems and life experiences of patients who have undergone cardiac surgery using a phenomenological approach. Material and Methods A qualitative research method was used in this study. The study was conducted face-to-face with 15 patients who had undergone cardiac surgery and been discharged from a hospital in a province in northern Türkiye. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews. Purposeful sampling method was preferred for participant selection. Interviews continued until data saturation was achieved. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The research process and reporting were carried out in accordance with the Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research checklist.
