Özet
Dear Editor, We want to state that we are very happy and grateful for the faithful and curious evaluation of our manuscript named ‘‘The Effect of Stent Cell Geometry on Carotid Stenting Outcomes.’’In our study, in-stent restenosis (ISR) was more common in open-cell stent group, which have larger free cell area than closed-cell stents after carotid artery stenting (CAS)[1]. It was noted on the letter to the editor that there has been no data about medical therapy in our study that is known to be essential to prevent ISR and optimal medical therapy has beneficial effect on preventing it in CAS-performed patients.There are studies indicating that medical therapies with antiplatelets, statins, cilostazol and valsartan are beneficial in preventing ISR [2–4].
