| This study addresses the ongoing competition in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) on a global scale, particularly the struggle between the US-based ChatGPT and the Chinese-based DeepSeek. As one of the biggest technological revolutions of the 21st century, artificial intelligence is radically changing the global economy, politics and security paradigms. While the US and China are investing heavily to take the lead in this field, the European Union continues its efforts to develop ethical standards and regulatory frameworks. ChatGPT, developed by the US company OpenAI, was launched in 2022 and attracted great interest worldwide. China, on the other hand, stands out in this competition with its artificial intelligence company called DeepSeek. DeepSeek specialises in big data analysis, natural language processing (NLP) and developing artificial intelligence-based solutions. Similar to ChatGPT, DeepSeek Chat can respond to users' questions, create texts and perform various tasks. In this research, it is stated that the artificial intelligence wars taking place in global technology are not only a race for technological progress but also play a critical role in terms of economic power, ethical responsibilities and global stability. In the research, it is emphasised that the future of artificial intelligence will be shaped by the cooperation between countries and the determination of common standards; competition should focus not only on technological superiority, but also on issues such as ethics, security and human rights. |
