Özet
The study aimed to explore mothers’ experiences of children with autism using a phenomenological approach. Semi-structured, in-depth interviews were conducted with 18 parents with children attending a special education centre in a northern province of Turkey. Criterion sampling, a form of purposive sampling, was employed to select participants. Interviews continued until data saturation was achieved. All interviews were audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim. Thematic analysis was utilized to analyze the data, and the study adhered to the COREQ checklist for reporting qualitative research.
