| Özet |
| Migration and displacement due to environmental degradation and disasters caused by global climate change have led to the emergence of the concept of climate refugees, unlike the traditional refugee approach. However, in the context of climate change, the definition, scope and legal status of climate refugees are still unclear. The aim of this article is to emphasize the importance of environmental migration movements caused by global climate change and to contribute to the formation of international awareness of common responsibility towards people who are displaced or migrated due to the negative effects of climate change. For this purpose, the article first examines the conceptual dimension of the relationship between climate change and migration action. Afterward, the place of the term climate refugees in the legal and international community and possible security risks due to climate migration are discussed. |
