| Global citizenship is one of the most complicated issues in the social sciences, because it is not very easy to be defined. The main reasons behind this situation, and the complexity of the two main components of the concept, which are ‘global’and ‘citizenship’, could be addressed. In addition, the lack of concrete and/or obligatory background of the concept in terms of formal ‘citizenship’practice could be another reason of this uncertainty. To get over such an ambiguity, the components of this notion of global citizenship will shortly be reviewed. |
