Özet
Leisure boredom during adolescence is a psychological state that can lead to various maladaptive behaviors. This state is linked to increased emotional distress and a higher risk of problematic behaviors, particularly short video addiction. The aim of this study was to examine the multiple mediating role of depression and sensation seeking in the relationship between leisure boredom and short video addiction. The study was conducted with 361 adolescents (62.3% female, 37.7% male), with ages ranging from 14 to 19 years (M age= 16.11, SD= 1.41). The data of this research was analysed using structural equation modeling. The findings of the study indicate that the relationship between leisure boredom and short video addiction was fully mediated by two variables (depression and sensation seeking).
