Özet
Purpose: In this study, initiator effect and resin type on the mechanical, thermal, physical and chemical properties of the composites which obtained from orthophthalic and isophthalic based resin was investigated in detail.Theory and Methods: Both resins were molded in the glass plates followed mixture in the beher (PP), an ultrasonic homogenizer and ultratorax with MEKP and Cobalt Octoate having different ratio. Tensile strength, young modulus, bending strength and modulus of the produced composites were determined according to TS EN ISO 527-1, BS EN ISO 178 and BS EN ISO 178, respectively. Results: Initiator ratio and resin type influenced the mechanical, thermal and physical properties of the composites. Isophthalic based composites revealed higher mechanical properties than those of the composites which produced from ortho phthalic based resin. Styrene content and viscosity were higher in the isophthalic based resin. However, the ortho phthalic composites revealed higher thermal stability value than those of the isophthalic based composites. Conclusion:
