| Understanding word frequencies can provide information about the features of language use. Not only that, word frequency studies can find applications in various disciplines such as education, psychology, sociology and information technology. In education, teaching materials developed based on word frequency can help learners develop language skills faster and more effectively. In psychology, word frequency research can provide important data for research on cognitive processes and memory mechanisms. In sociology, language use patterns and word preferences can play a key role in understanding the structure and change of societies by reflecting social trends and cultural dynamics. Therefore, this study aims to determine the vocabulary in Turkish textbooks. In this context, four books in use were identified. These books were first transferred to the Word program.
