Determination of Analogies for the Chemistry Concepts in the 7 th Grade Science Textbook

Özet
In the present study, it was aimed to determine the analogies for the chemistry concepts in the 7th-grade science textbook and to examine their appropriateness according to the Teaching-With-Analogies (TWA) steps. The study was conducted using the document analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods. As a data source, the 7thgrade science textbook, which is distributed to students free of charge in the schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the 2020-2021 school year and published on Education and Information Network, was used. The appropriateness of the analogies according to the TWA and the analogies used to express the concepts were determined by the joint opinions of two science experts.
