Özet
The article focuses on a novel meshless surgical technique for treating stress urinary incontinence (SUI), developed as an alternative to midurethral slings, which have been associated with complications. The technique involves making two incisions in the paraurethral areas and tying the pubourethral ligament (PUL) branches with polyester sutures to enhance collagen formation and prevent elongation during stress. Initial results from applying this technique to 13 patients showed no reported SUI symptoms or complications during follow-ups. The authors express interest in further insights regarding the long-term effectiveness of collagen formation from this method.[Extracted from the article]Copyright of Neurourology & Urodynamics is the property of Wiley-Blackwell and its content may not be copied or emailed to multiple sites without the copyright holder's express written permission.
