It is known that the economy of Kırşehir, which is geographically located in the center of Anatolia, is based on agriculture and animal husbandry. Therefore, the records examined show that there are tradesmen and craftsmen who are needed and available in Kırşehir. In the research, the names of the tradesmen and artisans encountered in Kırşehir and especially their fields of activity were discussed on the basis of the dividend books numbered 795 (1250/1834-1834), 798 (1261/1845-1846) belonging to the center of Kırşehir. In the book numbered 795, there are tinsmiths, blacksmiths, locksmiths, cooks, tailors, smokers, sarrac, muleteers, barbers, bellows makers, tailers, blacksmiths, confectioners, boza makers, furriers, sieves, welders, dyers, sackcloth makers, peddlers and potters. In the book numbered 797, in addition to the above, there are saltpeter sellers, junk dealers, pilaf sellers, stool makers, saddle makers, sieves, sieves, molders and pot makers; in the book numbered 798, it is seen that there are shopkeepers and craftsmen such as bezzaz, jeweler, miller, saddler, carpenters and coffee makers. As a result, although many different tradesmen and craftsmen remained constant in the center of Kırşehir, it has been witnessed that new craftsmen emerged in the ongoing process. The research model, which aims to describe people, situations or events completely and accurately, was used as the basis for the research, and the aim of this research was to identify the tradesmen and craftsmen in Kırşehir, where the tomb of Ahi Evran-ı Veli, the founder of the Ahi Order, is located, and their contributions to the economic life. |
