Özet

Analysing mining, glass ceramics and the fabric patterns of a society in its historical perspective makes it possible to define the social identity of that society through symbols. However, there is a point that should not be overlooked; there are reflections of the visual spirit of nations carried to the present, that is, motif memories. The aim of this study is to answer the question ‘should the past be searched only in written sources; or can healthy data be obtained by reading through the symbols used by each society, which are complementary elements of their historical adventures’. When the motif memory is analysed, it can be seen that these symbols often repeat each other, while there are also differences that are the result of the dynamics of social or political life.
