Özet
This research was conducted to determine the opinions of nurses working in risky units about in-service training. The population of this descriptive study consisted of 167 nurses working in risky units in a training and research hospital in a province. The research was completed with 151 nurses who could be reached without using the sampling method and accepted the research. Data were collected with a descriptive characteristics questionnaire and a form to evaluate nurses' opinions on in-service training. Number and percentage distributions and chi-square test were used to analyze the data. The average age of the nurses participating in the study was 35.68±7.92, 70.9% were women, 76.2% were married and 53% had a bachelor's degree. While more than half the nurses in the 22-35 age group (55.2%) want to receive in-service training, most of the nurses in the 36-49 age group (71.4%) do not. While the number of female nurses who wanted to take in-service training was statistically significantly higher than men, the desire of nurses with a bachelor's degree to take in-service training was found to be significantly higher than nurses with other educational levels. While nurses who worked for more than 16 years and 6-10 years were more likely to want to take in-service training, nurses who liked the unit they worked in and found in-service training useful were also found to want to take in-service training.
