Özet |
Energy is the basic driving force of an economy, and there is a robust linkage between economic development and energy consumption. The industrial revolution, which enhanced the living standards of millions of people worldwide, would not have been possible without energy attained first from fossil combus-tion. Variations in technology, economic development, ever-stringent environmental protectionism, and the rising worldwide competitiveness have induced a trend of innovative market-based clarifications. This chapter centrally focuses on the 3-E framework (Energy-Economy-Environment) and develops an understanding of the energy world's state and the doctrines of exhaustible resource economics. It provides basic knowledge about judicious decision-making about the food value chain and energy markets, with particular reference to developing nations of the Asian region. Fundamental principles underlying the non-renewable energy system and their impacts on marginal populations, and possible solutions are also discussed. The readers will quickly learn the prevailing food security scenarios, renewable and non-renewable energy, and their allied impacts on the environment. |
