Özet
This study was carried out to determine especially late flowering and superior quality genotypes in naturally self-grown almonds population around Eğil and Ergani (Diyarbakır) districts between 2010 and 2012. In line with this objective, 80 genotypes were determined in accordance with the purposes of breeding. 12 promising genotypes having superior characters were selected using weighted ranked method at the end of the study. In this study, full flowering of promising genotypes was observed between the second and third week of March in 2011 and 2012. The fruit weight with shell, kernel weight, kernel ratio, shell thickness, double kernel ratio, twin kernel ratio and healthy kernel ratio of promising genotypes were ranged from 4.67 (21-ER-75)-9.30 (21-EĢ-17) g, 1.02 (21-ER-80)-1.40 (21-EĢ-04) g, 19.31%(21-ER-71)-26.66%(21-EĢ-17), 3.08 (21-ER-75)-4.94 (21-EĢ-17) mm, 0.00%-10.00%, 0.00%, 95.00%-100.00%, respectively.
