Özet
With the current shortage of fossil fuels, a major strategic importance is attributed to not only using biomass but also to utilizing the huge amount of waste for high-value energy. In the present study, the process of hydrothermal gasification was applied to three different industrial wastewaters: textile wastewater, cheese whey wastewater and olive mill wastewater. The experiments were conducted at a constant pressure of 25 MPa and a reaction time of 30 s. Four reaction temperatures (450, 500, 550 and 600 C) were employed in the process, in order to comprehend their effects on treatment efficiency and gasification yield. It was seen that olive mill wastewater provided the highest gasification yield and per each L of wastewater fed to the reactor, a gaseous product of 7.7 L was evolved at 550 C. With the aid of gas chromatography the compositions of the gaseous products were analyzed, which were seen to be mainly …
