Özet |
The age of Crucian carp (Carassius carassius) obtained from Egirdir and Bafra Fish Lakes in Turkey was determined based on the scales, vertebrae, otoliths, operculum and suboperculum. These bony structures were analysed three times. The irregular deposition in Bafra Lake samples made it impossible to use otoliths in age determination, and these otoliths were excluded from the age reading process. The vertebra was found to be the most reliable bony structure for Bafra Fish Lake population and otoliths for Egirdir Lake. The ages of the fishes determined using these reliable bony structure and the other bony structure were compared separately and the similarity and difference among the ages were determined. |
