Özet
This paper aims at examining whether the Turkish economy is in the middle-income trap by using the aprroach produced by Robertson and Ye (2013). To this end, unit root tests that take into account structural breaks developed by Lee and Strazicich (2003) and Carrion-i-Silvestre et al. (2009) are employed. According to the results of unit root tests, the Turkish economy is not in the middle-income trap. Some policy proposals are presented in the conclusion part of the paper for enabling faster growth of the Turkish economy.
