Özet |
In this survey, 89 small ruminant keepers were asked with 40 questions in Feke, Saimbeyli and Tufanbeyli district of Adana Province. According to results, 28 of 89 small ruminant keepers were sheep keeper while rests of them were goat keeper. Flock size in sheep farms were 76-100 heads while in goat farms were 25-50 heads. All goat keepers kept Kıl goat while sheep keeper have reared White Karaman and Awassi sheep breeds. For 73% of surveyed farms have produced their forage while 27% of them have evaluated the state grassland. 94.4% of them have not applied flushing to their flocks before mating. According to survey, 57% of farmers milked at least 750 g, 37% of them milked between 250-300 g, 5.6% of them milked between 500-750 g. All milking was done by hand. The produced milk has been processed to get çökelek and cheese for marketing with their requirements. Farmers haven't got any organization membership. |
