Our Results in Surgery Treatment of Trigger Finger Disease Objectives: To evaluate the elinical and functional outcomes of the patients with trigger finger refractory to conservative treatment modalities who are treated by open surgery method. Material Methods: In this study, we evaluated the elinical and functional outcomes of the patients with trigger finger treated with releasing of Al puley by open surgery under Local anestesia. Open surgery was applied to 170 patients' (115 female, 55 male, mean age 53,27, range33-67) 170 trigger fingers. The meanfollow-up was 22 months (range 4-32). As assosiated pathologies, there were t) pe Il DM in eleven, chronic renal failure in seven and rheumatoid arthritis innine patients. Results: Pain and triggering seenin 164 fingers were found to be treated by open surgical release. In 6 cases, triggering relapsed. Through the follow-up period, transient scar tendeme ss was found in 74 patients. There were no significant neurovascular complications noted. Conclusions: We believe that in the treatment of trigger finger refractory to conservative treatment methods, open surgery method is a safe and effective treatment modality. In the postoperative period, the relaps risks increase in trigger finger cases secondar u y to chronical systellllC diseases which decreases the success rates of the operation. |
