Özet
Children of immigrants are also affected by the problems they experience in the fields of health, security, employment and education. Educational level, economic situation, social and cultural differences of immigrant families make it difficult for immigrant children to adapt to educational environments. In this study, it is aimed to determine the perceptions of immigrant students studying in İstanbul Beylikduzu about their experiences in educational environments and the problems they face. Problems encountered after migration make immigrant children disadvantaged in their new country. Differences in language, family and culture of immigrant children can cause problems in their school and social life. Learning the feelings and thoughts of the children of families who have recently immigrated to Turkey about their education will contribute to the solution of their problems. The research was carried out with the descriptive survey method, one of the quantitative research methods. The sample of the study was determined by the maximum diversity sampling method. The item pool created by the researchers by examining the literature was presented to the expert opinion, and the draft questionnaire, which was created by making corrections in line with the feedback, was given its final form by pre-application. The measurement tool was applied to 185 immigrant students from 9 different countries studying at public schools in the Beylikdüzü district of Istanbul.
