Taşkın Animal Science Department, Agriculture Faculty, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Kırşehir, Turkey Introduction The budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus), a member of the parrot family, is native to Australia. Due to their appearance, they are fed intensively as a pet animal (Wyndham, 1980). The original colors are light green. It was first domesticated in England in 1850 and then scattered throughout the world. The variety of colors in budgerigars is composed of two basic color series, blue and green.
