Özet
The determination of the absorbed dose in the gonads is important from the point of view of dosimetric evaluations in the nuclear applications. Since gonads are critical organs, from the point of view of dosimetric evaluation, phantoms are used in this experimental study to obtain realistic conditions to the extent possible. The experiment was performed by using thermoluminescence dosimeter (TLD), Rando-Phantom and Tc-99m radionuclide. The measurements were made at the activity levels of 111, 145, 185 and 222 MBq, which are appropriate for the scintigraphic applications for liver and spleen. Theoretical calculations are done with Medical Internal Absorbed Dose (MIRD) method, which is widely used in the absorbed dose calculations in the nuclear medicine. Afterwards, the results of the measurements were compared with calculated dose using MIRD method. The results of the measurements and the calculations found to be comparable each other.
