Determination of Factors Affecting Poultry Meat Consumption in Kirsehir Province

Özet
The aim of this study was conducted to determine the factors affecting the consumption of poultry meat in the urban area of Kirsehir province. For this purpose, the behavior of consumers and consumption of poultry meat consumption levels were examined. The number of samples were determined using the proportional approach. In this study, survey was conducted with 756 people. This research was carried out in April and June in year of 2013. According to this research, average annual per capita consumption of poultry meat was 15.2 kg. This consumption was determined chicken, turkey and goose meat, respectively. As a result, the consumption of poultry meat increased according to the level of education of consumers in urban areas of Kirsehir province. But, a trend towards red and poultry meat consumption were determined with the increase in consumers' incomes. On the other hand, the consumption of poultry meat was increased with increase the number of individuals in the family.
