Özet |
Method: In this study, aiming to determine the reading habit levels of secondary school students in terms of various variables, the relational survey model/design was used. Convenience sampling was preferred in this study. The data required in the study were collected voluntarily from 565 students studying in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in Kırsehir central district secondary schools in the spring semester of the 2018-2019 academic year using the" Secondary School Book Reading Habit Scale." The analysis of the data on the students' reading habit levels was performed by the'Mann-Whitney U Test,''Kruskal-Wallis Test,'and'Spearman's rho coefficient'techniques.Findings and discussion: A statistically significant difference was found between secondary school students' book reading habit level scores and the gender variable (U= 29224; p<. 05).
