Özet |
The treatment of wastewater containing dye effluents has been attracted a great interest for scientific research [1]. The removal of these dyes from wastewater can be done by various physical, chemical, and biological methods however with some limitations. Physical methods require large quantities and long contact time, while biological methods are cost intensive. The process control such as pH control and sludge handling are on the other hand the disadvantages of chemical treatment methods. Consequently, heterogeneous catalysis has been used for this purpose as an alternative method, which is based on the combined usage of a semiconductor photocatalyst and UV light irradiation [1, 2].ZnO nanoparticles with different morphologies were synthesized smooothly by hydrothermal and solvothermal methods.
