| Objective This study aims to assess the efficacy of first aid training provided to academic and administrative staff working at a state university. Materials and methods The study sample included 318 academic and administrative staff members from a state university. Between the dates of December 15, 2017 to December 22, 2017, the study participants attended basic first aid training, the sessions of which lasted for 2 hours. Before and after the training, participants answered a 20-question survey questionnaire. Frequency, mean, Mann-Whitney U Test, Kruskal Wallis Variance Analysis, Wilcoxon T-test, McNemar chi-square analysis, and Spearman correlation for the analysis between variances, were used for the statistical assessment of data.
