Özet |
The primary objective of the study was to bring a" Scale of Malpractice Trend in Nursing" in the nursing literature. In the first stage of developing the scale, the most common types of medical errors made by nurses in their sphere of duty were identified by making use of the literature. Then, the causes of these errors were determined and a draft inventory consisting of 61 items was prepared. For the assessment of responses Content Validity Ratio (CVR)/Index was calculated and the items below 0.99 were removed from the inventory. Consequently, six items below 0.99 were excluded and an inventory comprising of a total of 55 items was developed. Its internal consistency reliability was tested by using the Item-Total Correlation and Cronbach's Alpha Reliability Coefficient.
