| This study is indicate constitutive heterochromatin presence and patterns of Salaria fluviatilis (Asso, 1801) from Ceyhan River, Osmaniye, Turkey. C-banding technique was carried out to demonstrate constitutive heterochromatin regions according to Sumner (1972). Positive C-bands were seen on the centromeric region for several chromosomes and at the long arm for some chromosomes. In addition pericentromeric heterochromatin blocks were shown on the two chromosome pairs. This results will contribute to documentation of constitutive heterochromatin characterization in fishes. |
