Özet
A greenhouse pot experiment was conducted in 2004 to study the effect of potassium on wheat (Triticum aestivum) cv. Tir under NaCl stress (8 mmhos/cm). Potassium (K) was added to the soil at 8 levels (0, 100, 200, 300, 40, 500, 600 and 700 mg K/kg dry soil) under salt stress, while the non-saline condition was used as a control. NaCl significantly decreased the emergence percentage, dry shoot and root weights, shoot K+:Na+ ratio, contents of chlorophylls a and b and osmotic potential, while it increased the proline concentrations compared to the non-saline conditions in wheat seedlings. Potassium application had positive effects on salinity and alleviated the negative effects of salinity on wheat seedlings. Potassium significantly increased the emergence percentage, dry shoot and root weights, shoot K+/Na+ ratio, contents of chlorophylls a and b and osmotic potential, but decreased the proline concentration in …
