Özet
The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of different levels of corn distillers grains with solubles (CDDGS) on growth performance, carcass quality, some blood parameters and histologic structure of the terminal ileum in quails (Coturnix coturnix Japonica). In experiment 228 quails were used, 1 day old quails are allocated to 4 experimental groups with 3 replicates (19/pen). The basal diet was given to the control group and the other three groups were fed with basal diet supplemented with increased concentrations of CDDGS (5-10-15 %), respectively. The experiment was lasted five weeks. All chicks had free access to feed and water. Average daily gain, feed intake and feed conversion efficiency were determined. The results indicated that, differences in terms of body weight, body weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion ratio were found between treatment groups (p0.05;0.01;0.001). As a result of the slaughtering process at the conclusion of the trial, no differences were found carcass traits and yields (p 0.05) . Differences also emerged between the groups in terms of blood parameters (p0.05). No differences were found in terms of histologic structure of the terminal ileum (p0.05). The results obtained clearly showed that CDDGS can be successfully fed at level %15 in quail diets.
