| Sugar beet leaf spot disease (Caused by Cercospora beticola Sacc.) is one of the important fungal diseases seen in sugar beet production areas. It has been well known that different levels of yield and quality losses occur due to the epidemic that occurs in some production seasons where suitable climatic conditions are experienced for the development of the disease. In the province of Kırşehir, the most produced vegetable product has been sugar beet in terms of quantity. For this reason, there is a need to identify sugar beet plant protection problems and produce local solutions. With this study; the prevalence and severity of Cercospora leaf spot disease were determined by survey carried out in June-September 2022 production season in sugar beet production areas in some districts of Kırşehir. In the current study with symptomatological examinations, it was determined that 15%(9 fields) of 60 sugar beet production areas were contaminated with C. beticola. As a result of the evaluations made at the district level, 12.5%(1 field) in Akpınar district, 0%(0) in Boztepe district, 50%(1 field) in Kaman district, 50%(2 fields) in Central district, 20%(5 fields) in Mucur district) were determined to be contaminated with C. beticola. Disease incidence (%) was calculated as 15% in Akpınar and Kaman districts, and 20% in Merkez and Mucur districts. In the studies carried out in the laboratory environment, Cercospora sp. isolated from 9 samples obtained from sugar beet areas.
