Özet
Due to her existence in the Mediterranean Basin and to the possibility that Turkey will be among the one of the most affected countries by climate change impacts, the target of this study was to obtain detailed climate projections for Turkey and the surrounding regions by using the UK Met Office, Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research’s Regional Climate Model, PRECIS (Providing Regional Climates for Impacts Studies). The Model was run with Hadley Centre’s GCM HadAMP3 outputs and reference period (1961-1990) and corresponding future period (2071-2100) A2 scenario simulations have been compared with each other to analyze climate change.According to the results of simulations, 5-6 C increases in mean temperatures were projected in Turkey except the coastal regions.
