| Türkçe Özet | Ses türemesi, sözcüğün aslında bulunmayan bir sesin çeşitli sebeplerle ortaya çıktığı ses olayıdır. Ses türemesi konusunda yapılmış pek çok çalışma bulunmakla beraber ses türemesini tarihsel süreç içerisinde bütüncül bir şekilde ele alan ve türemenin sebeplerine detaylı olarak değinen çalışmalar sınırlıdır. Bu sebeple bu çalışmada Türkçenin tarihî dönemleri, Türkiye Türkçesi ve Türkiye Türkçesi ağızlarındaki ses türemesi konusu derinlemesine ele alınmıştır. Türkiye Türkçesinde kök ve eklerin birleşmeleri sırasındaki morfofonolojik nöbetleşmeler de ayrı bir başlık altında değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın veri kaynaklarını tarihî dönem metinleri, sözlükler, dil bilgisi kaynakları ve ağız çalışmaları oluşturmaktadır. Kaynaklardan elde edilen veriler türeyen sesin konumuna, türeyen sesin ne olduğuna ve türeme sebeplerine göre sınıflandırılmıştır. Böylelikle alıntı sözcüklerde alıntı yapılan dilin ses sisteminin etkili olduğu görülmüş, türemelerin bu sözcükleri Türkçenin ses dizimine uygun hâle getirmek için gerçekleştiği tespit edilmiştir. Türkiye Türkçesi ağızları ile ilgili veriler de benzer sonuçları göstermekle beraber ağızların alıntı sözcüklerin uyarlanmasında Türkiye Türkçesi yazı diline göre daha esnek ve çeşitlilik gösteren bir yapı sergilediği görülmüştür. Güncel Türkçe Sözlük temel alınarak incelenen Türkiye Türkçesi yazı dilindeki ses türemeleri, türemenin ortaya çıkışını belirleyen kısıtlayıcılara ve bunların ihlaline dayanan Optimallik Teorisi ile analiz edilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda türeme olayı, belirtililik ve sadakat kısıtlayıcıları arasındaki etkileşimle açıklanmış; Türkçede ses türemesinde Türkçenin ses dizimi ile ilgili özelliklerinin belirleyici rol oynadığı ve Türkçenin ses dizgesinin kurallı olduğu ortaya konmuştur. Ayrıca bu çalışmada, Türkiye Türkçesi yazı diline uygulanan Optimallik Teorisi'nin, Türkçe ses bilgisi çalışmalarında kullanılabilecek metodolojik bir yaklaşım olarak alana katkı sunması amaçlanmaktadır. |
| İlgilizce Özet | Epenthesis is a phonological process in which a sound that does not originally exist in a word emerges for various reasons. Although many studies have been conducted on epenthesis, studies that examine epenthesis holistically within its historical development and discuss the causes epenthesis in detail are limited. Therefore this study examines epenthesis in the historical periods of Turkish, in Turkish and in the dialects of Turkey Turkish. Morphonological alternations occurring during the combination of stems and suffixes in Turkish are also evaluated under a separate heading. Historical texts, dictionaries, grammar sources and dialect studies were used as the sources for this study. The information obtained from these sources were classified according to the position of the epenthetic sound, the type of the epenthetic sound and the reason for epenthesis. In this respect, it was observed that the sound system of the donor language is influential in loanwords, and that epenthesis mainly occurs in order to adapt words to the phonotactic features of Turkish. The data related to the dialects of Turkey Turkish show similar results, however, dialects present a more flexible and diverse structure than Turkish in the adaptation of loanwords. The epentheses in Turkish examined on the basis of the `Türkçe Sözlük` were analyzed within the framework of Optimality Theory which is based on the constraints causing epenthesis and their violations. Accordingly, epenthesis was explained through the interaction between markedness and faithfulness constraints. It was demonstrated that the phonotactic features of Turkish play a determining role in epenthesis in Turkish and that the sound system of Turkish is systematic. Furthermore, this thesis aims to provide a methodological contribution by applying `Optimality Theory` to Turkish phonology studies. |
