The Effect of the Flipped Classroom Model on the Problem Solving Skills

Proje Konusu Today, traditional learning environments are supported and developed together with developing teaching technologies. During the present period, students are constantly spending time on computers and the internet, and the use of technology in education environments has become inevitable. Within this scope, the teaching methods that require the use of technology are employed. One of them is the inverted class model, which is a form of blended learning that has come to light in recent years. In this model, the students work on the contents of the course through the files and materials such as audio and video prepared by the course instructor before the class, and the classes perform the activities and practices for the classroom at the time. The fact that the course teacher is planning different courses in the reverse classroom model causes different results to be reached. For this reason, results of different samples, different lessons, applications made with different materials become important and present different ideas for applying the model. For this reason, it is thought that the application at the level of associate degree and the examination of the results will contribute to the literature. It is aimed to investigate the effect of the inverse classroom model on problem solving ability in the study. In this semi-experimental design, the students in the experimental group were educated according to the reverse classroom model while the control group completed the process with traditional education. The sample group is composed of students in Computer Programming department in Vocational School. Personal data form and problem solving inventory were used as data collection tools. In the ongoing data analysis process, pretest posttest scores of the experiment and control group will be compared and analyzed. It is thought that the result of the study can give the researcher an idea about the applicability of the inverse class model.
