Proje Konusu | Benzoimidazole derivative compounds show important biological activities such as antibacterial, antifungal, anthelmintic, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anticancer agents [1-5]. GR inhibitors are used both for investigating oxidative stress and related diseases as well as for drugs antimalarial and anticancer drugs, chemotherapy and radiotherapy sensitization agent. There are a variety of studies targeting GR inhibitors for malaria treatment.The "chloroquine" drug discovered in 1934 and this drug is still use the treatment of malaria, but the resistance against the "chloroquine has been developed. As anticancer agents, GR inhibitors increase the oxidative stress and prevent the growth of tumors. The GSSG accumulation inhibits DNA synthesis and disrupts cell functions. Radiotherapy kills cancer cells with ROS production. GSH, an antioxidant, extinguishes these damaging ROS and develops resistance to radiotherapy [6-9]. In this study, GR inhibition studies of benzoimidazole derivative compounds were performed and IC50 values were compared with the cloroquin compound.
