| Proje Konusu | This project is supported by the Tübitak 4008 program. The project team consists of academic staff from the Hacettepe University Faculty of Health Sciences Child Development Department and the Düzce University Education Faculty Special Education Department. Project manager Prof. Dr. Figen Turan and researchers, Assoc. Dr. Yusuf Akemoglu and Dr. Esra Acar Şengül, and Research Assistant A. Elif Işık Uslu. The main purpose of this project is to develop a parent education program for parents (primary caregivers) who have a child followed or diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) between 24-42 months and to demonstrate the effectiveness of this program. Training dates: 28 April 2023-23 June 2023 (excluding the 19 May 2023 public holiday). The training consisted of 17 sessions over an 8-week period, 1 day per week. This training program is aimed to provide parents with "interaction skills" by reading books and playing games and to improve the skills of "responding to communication" and "starting communication" of children with autism in this way. I worked as an educator on this project. |
