| Proje Konusu | Gerze has an old settlement that built without paying attention to geological and geotechnical properties. However, some features like economic, social, culture and transportation besides engineering factors should be taken into consideration when choosing a settlement. Geological and geotechnical characteristics must be determined in the site selection for construction so that a settlement can develop. But, this has usually done after a natural disaster as earthquake, landslide and flooding has occurred. Gerze is a settlement where has a lot of masonry building. There are many faults in the study area. Also, there is susceptibility to landslide. Building inventory of Gerze is prepared in this study. Also, building characteristic of faulty area has been determined. The same process has been carried out to landslide susceptibility zones. This study present the precautions to be taken according to qualities of the buildings in the danger zone. |
